Sergeant Shayne La Croix was born in Fairbanks, Alaska
in 1976, and moved to the Mat-Su Valley in 1988. He attended Houston
Jr./Sr. High, and upon graduation in 1994, he attended the University of
Alaska Fairbanks where he received a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor
in Human Service Technology. Following college, he attended the 1998
Interior Alaska Police Academy, and was hired as a patrol officer for the
Soldotna Police Department in December 1998. He joined the Palmer Police
Department in November 2002 as a patrol officer, and in October 2005 he was
promoted to the rank of sergeant.
Sergeant La Croix is a certified instructor for One on
One Control Tactics and is responsible for the control tactics training for
the department.
